• This violin was made in the Laberte-Humbert workshop around 1930. The firm was established by the two brothers Maurice-Emile & Piere Alexis Auguste Laberte in 1876, Mirecourt, France. Initially the workshop only made factory instruments, however during the early 20th Century when Pierre’s son Marc Laberte joined the workshop he created a range of high-quality instruments. By 1919 the firm had grown to around 400 workers on site. The firm began to use the ‘Derazey’ label when they acquired the ‘Derazey’ trademarks during the 1920s.
•This violin has a very bright and focused sound with an exceptional & effortless response time. It boasts a well-balanced sound across all registers and superb projection. This instrument would be most suitable for tertiary level study and advancing professional soloists or chamber musicians.
